"Very few of today’s children’s
performers seem to understand and appreciate exactly where children are
in the 'developmental' scheme of things. Sumner does - and she shows it,
with lots of fun-filled, diverse music and an attitude that doesn’t talk
down to kids." - Fred Koch, Chicago Parent

language (view
it!), promote self-esteem and
stimulate kids' imaginations.
In addition to her concert
performances, Rachel presents keynotes and workshops
full of creative ideas, music and fun for educators,
librarians, event organizers and parents. She inspires attendees as she
instructs them on how to use music, movement, drama and incredibly fun
props to help children learn. "The arts are a very powerful educational
tool," she says. She is a trained Arts Integrated Specialist with the
Tennessee Arts Commission. She also works as an artist in residence with
various arts organizations and is a Master Artist with the highly
acclaimed Wolf Trap Institute.

bands and orchestras, performed in children's theater and appeared in
television and radio commercials.

she has written and released six audio recordings, a video of sign
language and foreign language songs and a curriculum/songbook. The
